Ironman Training Camp - Postponed

This event has been postponed. We will be updating the site with more IRONMAN training camps coming this summer including group bike rides with local professional traithlete Liz Lyles.

Come to beautiful Squaw Valley and train with 6 time IRONMAN world champion Dave Scott. This 3-day camp includes instruction and insight into all 3 disciplines. The camp is activities based with direct interaction between registrants and Dave Scott. Training will take place both in the classroom and in the beautiful surroundings of Lake Tahoe.

This camp is designed to accommodate triathletes of all levels. Based on location and design, the camp will specifically benefit those that wish to race in the Lake Tahoe IRONMAN. Triathletes who wish to receive premiere training at high altitude but will not be competing in IMLT will also find a multitude of benefits including biomechanics and injury prevention lectures from Dave Scott.

Includes 3 days of training in swimming, cycling and running with 6 time IRONMAN world champion Dave Scott. Classroom sessions include specialized instruction on biomechanics and injury prevention. One dinner with Dave Scott. Lunch for 3 days.

Pricing: $595 per participant - Space is limited to provide the best training possible. Reserve your space today as this event will sell out. Payment is due in full upon registration.

Itinerary

Thursday, June 12 - Arrival Day

Participants can take the day to begin acclimatizing. We recommend setting up all of your equipment and getting ready for 3 days of training with Dave.

Friday, June 13 - Training Day 1

Morning Schedule (come with gym attire, bring lightweight stretch cord with soft handle)

  • 7:30am  - Group Introductions and walk through training | Strength and Injury Prevention Talk (Palisades Conference Room) 
  • 8:10am - Out and back group run
  • 9:10am - Run Biomechanics
  •  11:05am - Cycling Biomechanics

Afternoon Schedule

  • 12pm - 1:50pm - Working lunch discussion on optimal nutrition with Dave Scott
  • 2pm -  Swim Biomechanics Discussion
  • 3pm - Late Afternoon Open Water Swim (bring wetsuit and cap)

​Evening Schedule

  • 6:30pm - Dinner with Dave Scott and other athletes - Dave to present video (Dinner reservations available to the public)

Saturday, June 14 - Training Day 2

Morning Schedule

  • 7:30am - Full ride on Lake Tahoe Course

Afternoon Schedule

  • 12-1:30pm - Working Lunch Discussion - Proper Fueling for Training and Racing
  • 1:30pm - How to integrate workloads into your training (test sets, marker sets) 
  • 3pm - Injury Preventative Stretching 
  • Group Run

Sunday, June 15 - Training Day 3

Morning Schedule

  • 7:30am - Morning Swim in Lake Tahoe 
  • Cycle to Truckee and up Donner Summit

Afternoon Schedule

  • 3pm Q&A wrap up
