Deep snow means steep risks. Ever wonder what causes an avalanche, or things to look for in snow conditions? If so, Squaw Valley Ski Patrol offers a FREE avalanche awareness and companion rescue workshop, twice a month to anyone who is interested in either polishing up their skills, or learning for the first time.

Ski Patrol base in the Red Dog complex, between Squaw Kids and the Far East lift.
When:
The 1st and 15th of every month, from 5:30pm-7pm

Bring warm clothing to be outside in and an avalanche beacon (practice beacons are available for those who don't have one).
