Only 4 more days until we see a train of storms roll in by Wednesday.  The forecast models have sped up the onset of the Wednesday system slightly with light precip possible by Wednesday morning.  Wednesday night is when the heaviest precip pushes in.

We picked up an inch yesterday morning from a weak system that moved through.

Not much change in the overall forecast the past few days.

A cold front will move through tonight with a line of precip and falling snow levels.  The models have pulled back on precip amounts.

A band of precip shifting South through Northern CA pushed over the Tahoe basin this morning.  That is bringing some light rain showers this morning.

Good news for the new snowpack this week with the mild precip staying mostly to our North.  It would be rain up to 9000 ft.

The snow levels fluctuated throughout the night but never climbed above 7500 ft.   At 8200 ft. at high camp and up we picked up 38 more inches of snow between Saturday and Sunday morning.  That brings the 4 day total to 5 feet.

We picked up 6 inches from the first system Wednesday night through Thursday night.  Light snow is falling this morning.

A very interesting and complex trend on the forecast models over the past 24 hours.  The Canadian and European forecast models were further South with the system for Thursday yesterday morning, and the GFS model was aimed right at us.

The snow showers accumulated snow a bit further North than expected yesterday.  The model precip output only showed 1-3 inches South side of the lake.
