Squaw and Alpine Offer $50 Lift Tickets to Passholders of Any Ski Resort

Season passholders at any resort can ski and ride at Squaw and Alpine for $50 starting April 16 through the end of the season

[Olympic Valley and Tahoe City, Calif.] April 12, 2012 – In light of their extended spring season, Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows have announced that passholders of other resorts can ski or ride for just $50 from April 16 through the end of the season. Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows are scheduled to remain open daily through April 29, with Alpine Meadows continuing to remain open Fridays - Sundays through May 13.

To redeem the $50 lift tickets – passholders of other ski resorts must show their season passes to the new Ticket and Pass Center at Squaw Valley or the Special Tickets Office at Alpine Meadows. Skiers and riders taking advantage of this offer will also be able to turn in their lift ticket at the end of the day and receive up to $30 off a 2012-13 Tahoe Super Pass. Tahoe Super Passes are on sale now starting at $429 for adults and include free skiing and riding for the remainder of this winter season.

Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows have received 205 inches (over 17 feet) of snow since March 1, and, with snow already coming down, the resorts are predicted to pick up over 3 feet of snow by Saturday. The deep snowpack has created a great base as well as phenomenal snow conditions for spring skiing at both resorts – both of which are known for having incredible corn snow, brilliant blue skies and an amazing lineup of events throughout the spring season.

In addition to great spring skiing – Squaw and Alpine offer an unmatched spring scene.  Squaw Valley will be hosting pool parties every weekend this spring at the resort’s renowned mountaintop pool and hot tub. Free for all season passholders and $14 for ticket holders, the High Camp Pool and Hot Tub is nestled between Squaw’s magnificent peaks at elevation 8,200 feet with stunning views of the surrounding Sierra Nevada.

Over at Alpine Meadows, a springtime favorite is the Spring Music Series featuring live music every weekend throughout the spring ski season. Well-known bands and DJs play at the Alpine Meadows Sun Deck or on the legendary Alpine Bandwagon -- the one and only customized snow grooming machine which features a stage, outdoor concert sound system. In the coming weeks, look forward to entertainment from bands such as The Nibblers (April 15) or Shotgun Wedding Quintet (April 21) and DJs including DJ One Truest and DJ Zeb Early (May 12).
