  1. 7 peaks, 3600 acres, 30 lifts.   We have a lot of terrain and it contains some of the most challenging lines in skiing and riding.  You can cruise the 3 miles of the gentle Mountain Run all day or challenge yourself on KT-22 or the legendary Palisades.  It’s your choice!
  2. 3600 acres not enough?  You can hop on our convenient shuttle bus and take the 10 minute ride to Alpine Meadows and enjoy their 2400 acres, 7 bowls, 13 lifts and open boundary policy.  It’s all included on your Employee Season pass. 
  3. Jobs!  There are 300+ different jobs at Squaw from Ski Patrol to Hotel Bellman to Tube Park Attendant and everything in between.  We have a job that will fit you!

  8. Food and Beverage.  We have 22 restaurants, 11 bars and 2 Starbucks locations, at Squaw.

  11. Location.  Squaw Valley is located 6 miles from Lake Tahoe, 8 miles from the town of Truckee and 40 miles from Reno Nevada and the Reno Tahoe International Airport.  
    Lake Tahoe is a world famous pristine jewel of nature. Surrounded on all sides by the majestic Sierra Nevada Mountains, one can see on average 70 feet down into its remarkably clear waters.  The second deepest lake in the United States at 1,645 feet deep, Lake Tahoe has 72 miles of shoreline.  The closest town, Tahoe City, has 2 supermarkets, 24 restaurants and bars, 2 fitness clubs and a library. 
    Truckee is a growing city of 15,000. Founded in 1849, it still retains a lot of its frontier flavor but has a ton of modern amenities.  There are 3 distinct shopping districts, a full service hospital, lots of gear shops, wine tasting rooms, 4 fitness clubs, 4 museums, a new community recreation center and Sierra College.
    Reno Their motto “The Biggest Little City” sums it up.    Easily accessed by car, train or bus it has everything a major metropolis features plus gambling!  However, it still possesses its small town feel and friendliness.
  12. More location: We’re in California, the coolest state on the planet.  San Francisco, Wine Country, Death Valley and the Pacific Ocean are all within a 4 hour drive.

Weather.  Squaw Valley averages 450 inches of snowfall every winter - piled up into fluffy powder all over our wide-open bowls, miles of groomed trails, world-renowned steeps, and manicured terrain parks and pipes.    In the spring the 450 inches transitions into buttery corn snow.  When it’s not dumping snow we enjoy beautiful sunny bluebird days because we’re in California, the Sunshine State.
